There is so much advice on the web to consume that it becomes difficult to get going with so many alternative themes and approaches.
We will persist with the WordPress site which is using the default 2020 basic theme.
Presently we need to concentrate on the composition of the Home page.

We have added Content View plugin to show recent posts on the home page which has enabled commenting of selected post like this.
